This has got to be one of the coolest events I\u2019ve written about since I began writing What To Do a year ago (\ud83c\udf89).\u00a0The 4th Annual Women Arts Exchange is a must-see celebration of the creativity and artistry of women. It\u2019s a three-part experience that begins with a \u201cSip \u2019n Stroll\u201d of the gallery at the Beaches Museum featuring works by 20 visual artists across various mediums. Then, between the main events, a whimsical interlude through the Beaches Museum gardens with live monologues and immersive art that escorts you to Players by the Sea for the MOVE! Dance Festival, showcasing a curated lineup of contemporary choreographers from across the Southeast. Whew! I can\u2019t wait.<\/p>\n

Music Inspired by Literary Giants<\/p>\n

Experience the intersection of literature and music with Music Inspired by Literary Giants. Performed by the Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville and conducted by Dr. Marguerite Richardson, these free, one-hour family-friendly programs are symphonic tributes to Walt Whitman, Shakespeare, Victor Hugo, Tolkien and more. Catch the evening performance at the Jacksonville Main Public Library Downtown on Saturday or at the Jacksonville Jewish Center on Sunday.<\/p>\n

St. Auggie Shorts Film Festival<\/p>\n

Film enthusiasts and aspiring creators alike should head to the historic district for the St. Auggie Shorts Film Festival. Organized by the cinematic arts program at Flagler College, the fest highlights the power of concise storytelling (all the films are 30 minutes or less) through a diverse selection of student and professional works. Beyond the screenings, the event offers Q&A sessions with filmmakers. The weekend concludes with a ceremony honoring the \u201cBest of Fest\u201d alongside top honors for student work, documentary, and environmental filmmaking.<\/p>\n
