(WSVN) &#8211; The alleged driver who was involved in a deadly Turnpike crash that killed a <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/innocent-driver-dead-after-turnpike-pursuit-ends-in-crash-in-plantation-woman-charged-with-felony-murder\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/innocent-driver-dead-after-turnpike-pursuit-ends-in-crash-in-plantation-woman-charged-with-felony-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">70-year-old woman<\/a> appeared in court, Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>During Anna Giza\u2019s hearing, her public defender decided to withdraw from the case, citing the fact that several employees at the office knew the victim in the crash, Bonnie Bouffard.<\/p>\n<p>Giza will appear again in court at a later date once her case has been assigned to a new judge and lawyer.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Giza is accused of stealing a pickup truck and leading police in a pursuit that <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/subject-hospitalized-after-apparent-police-pursuit-on-turnpike-sb-near-sunrise-boulevard\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/broward\/subject-hospitalized-after-apparent-police-pursuit-on-turnpike-sb-near-sunrise-boulevard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">ended on the southbound lanes of the Turnpike near Sunrise Boulevard<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n<p>As officers attempted a Precision Immobilization Technique maneuver to stop Giza, she struck Bouffard\u2019s vehicle, pinning it against the wall of the Turnpike.
