The Enzian Theater in Maitland this week announced a pretty eye-popping booking for the summer: Director and actor John Cameron Mitchell is coming to town for a two-night celebration of his cult-fave rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this glam-rock and queer cinema classic \u2014 think a better Rocky Horror Picture Show (there, we said it!) gone all in on the Bowie-ness of it all \u2014 Mitchell is taking his cinematic show on the road throughout the U.S., kicking off with two nights in Orlando.<\/p>\n

For two nights in June, Mitchell will hold court at the Enzian to shine a bright spotlight on this glittery masterpiece. Each evening features a 4K screening of the film, Mitchell doing an acoustic set of songs from the movie(!) and a costume contest. But each night will have its own unique programming.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, June 14, Mitchell will join the Ensign\u2019s Tim Anderson for an in-depth Q+A session that promises a deep dive into the movie and its legacy.<\/p>\n

And on Monday, June 15, Mitchell will do live commentary alongside the film screening. (We have seen him do live commentary at Sun-Ray Cinema and it is unmissable.)<\/p>\n

Tickets for these two nights of Hedwig are already on sale through the Enzian<\/a> and will likely go ridiculously fast. <\/p>\n
