Port St. Lucie<\/a>‘s game last Friday was a loss, but they didn’t let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Westwood Panthers<\/a> with a sharp 23-1 victory. The Jaguars’ hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they’ve scored all season.<\/p>\n Rebecca Guison<\/a> made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Guison was also stellar in the batter’s box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That’s the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.<\/p>\n In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chyanne Coins<\/a>, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, four runs, and three doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Wood<\/a>, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.<\/p>\n Port St. Lucie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. The team’s really been improving in that area: they’ve now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.<\/p>\n Port St. Lucie’s first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Westwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.<\/p>\n Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Port St. Lucie will head out to take on South Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won’t give up without a fight. As for Westwood, they will square off against Calvary Chapel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.<\/p>\n
