EL SEGUNDO \u2013 The Kings have traded winger Corey Perry to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2028 second-round pick.<\/p>\n
Perry, 40, was in his first campaign as a King<\/a> after spending time with rivals like the Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars. He also played for the Montreal Canadiens for a season and spent two in Tampa, losing to Colorado in the 2022 Stanley Cup Final as a Bolt.<\/p>\n In all, Perry has played in six Final series, winning his first in 2007 with the Ducks. His odds of reaching a seventh just skyrocketed, as Tampa leads the stacked Atlantic Division.<\/p>\n Perry started the year recovering from knee surgery and was perhaps the Kings\u2019 best forward for a stretch soon after.
