{"id":181154,"date":"2026-03-06T19:54:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T19:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/181154\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T19:54:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T19:54:07","slug":"this-is-a-real-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/181154\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018This is a real threat\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0March 6, 2026 at 2:30 PM<\/p>\n<p>lead-art-block.fullscreen-enterExpand<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/JNRVPRIRQVHLDJTYE4AZMNBYWE.jpg\"  width=\"3840\" height=\"2160\"\/>Photo Barbara Lara (BSO\/WPLG) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. \u2014 Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies arrested a woman on Thursday after they said she phoned in a threat to 911 to \u201cblow up\u201d the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Authorities said Barbara Lara, 46, of Boca Raton, called 911 at around 8:25 a.m. and told the dispatcher there was an emergency at the \u201cFort Lauderdale airport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies said the Ecuadorian national then told the dispatcher that her green card was \u201cstolen\u201d and she \u201cmissed an appointment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to a BSO report, she \u201ccontinued to ramble\u201d but then said, \u201cSend me Homeland Security to the airport before I blow up your airport.
