ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 An 80-year-old Orlando woman was killed and a man was injured Friday when they were struck by a pickup truck in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n
The crash happened around 12:06 p.m. on Goldenrod Road and Quail Pond Street.<\/p>\n
According to a crash report, a 2017 RAM 1500 with a trailer was heading south on Goldenrod Road and attempted a left turn onto Quail Pond Street. The two pedestrians, the Orlando woman and an 84-year-old Orlando man, were walking across Quail Pond Street in a marked crosswalk when they were struck by the pickup, the report said.<\/p>\n
The two pedestrians were taken to the hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead, according to troopers.<\/p>\n
Northbound lanes are blocked on Goldenrod Road at Quail Pond Street. <\/p>\n
An investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
