South Fork<\/a> is a perfect 7-0 against Port St. Lucie<\/a> since April of 2021 and they’ll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won’t be so lucky on Friday.<\/p>\n

Port St. Lucie will be up against a hot South Fork team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Bulldogs blew past Dwyer 8-2 on Wednesday. That’s two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly six runs.<\/p>\n

Mackenzie Brown<\/a> spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn’t tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.<\/p>\n

On the hitting side, Shelby Yetter<\/a> was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Gregory<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port St. Lucie). They were the clear victors by a 23-1 margin over Westwood on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Rebecca Guison<\/a> made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Guison was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That’s the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chyanne Coins<\/a>, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, four runs, and three doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addison Wood<\/a>, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.<\/p>\n

Port St. Lucie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .750. The team’s really been improving in that area: they’ve now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.<\/p>\n

South Fork’s win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Port St. Lucie, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.<\/p>\n

Port St. Lucie’s pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Fork has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It’s a different story for Port St. Lucie, though, as they’ve been averaging 15.8 hits. Given South Fork’s sizable advantage in that area, the Jaguars will need to find a way to close that gap.<\/p>\n

South Fork got the ‘W’ in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Port St. Lucie by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around?
