JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect after a shooting in a Westside apartment complex Sunday night.<\/p>\n
The incident happened at the Valencia Way Apartments on Labelle Street. Police responded to the scene just after 6:15 p.m. after callers reported hearing multiple gunshots inside the complex.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, police found a man in his early-20s suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.<\/p>\n
In an initial investigation, the sheriff’s office said it learned the victim was outside near an apartment building when he was shot. He managed to escape into a nearby apartment, where the tenant called 911 to report the shooting.<\/p>\n
Nine used shell casings were found at the scene, JSO said.<\/p>\n
Descriptions of the suspect or suspects are limited. Police say they may have been wearing all black clothing and a red face covering at the time of the shooting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
