PETE BEACH, Fla. \u2014 A driver is in the hospital after his vehicle ended up submerged in the water in St. Pete Beach.<\/p>\n<p>St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue and several other agencies responded around 8 p.m. Sunday where a white van was reportedly in the water at Blind Pass Road behind Mulligan\u2019s Plaza.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the van entered the Intracoastal Waterway and was carried south by the outgoing tide.<\/p>\n<p>A rescue swimmer went in the water to get the driver out.
