TAMPA, Fla. \u2014 Prices at the pump continue to rise in Florida and across the Tampa Bay area as the ongoing conflict in Iran<\/a> continues to impact oil production.<\/p>\n The price for a barrel of Brent crude oil, the international standard, surged to $119.50 per barrel early in the day Monday, but later was trading near $106 per barrel, up 14%, before the opening bell.<\/p>\n This is in comparison to the previous week<\/a>, where the cost of crude oil was up to $71 per barrel. This was reported as the highest price since June 2025.<\/p>\n As of Monday morning, AAA<\/a> says Florida’s statewide average gas price is $3.50 per gallon, an increase from the previous week when the cost was $2.88.<\/p>\n The national average for gas prices is at $3.48, which also increased over the last week from $2.98.<\/p>\n
