If you\u2019re looking for a reason to get out this week, consider this your sign. Green Bench Brewing (1133 Baum Ave N) is once again turning its beer garden into an open-air gallery as part of its Tampa Bay Beer Week celebration, and this year\u2019s theme says it all: ENJOY.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kicking off this Thursday, March 12, at 6 pm, the one-night-only event combines local art and craft beer into a who\u2019s who of the St. Pete arts scene, all happening beneath the stars. With 51 participating artists, it\u2019s the kind of show you\u2019ll want to wander through slowly, taking in the art, catching up with friends, and enjoying a beer along the way.<\/p>\n

Same canvas, endless creativity<\/p>\n

One of the most interesting parts of ENJOY is how the show is structured. Each artist was given the same starting point: a 16\u00d716-inch wood panel, and from there, things went in 51 different directions. The result is a colorful, thoughtful mix of styles and interpretations of the theme, all appearing side-by-side.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Seeing the unique way artists approach the same parameters is part of what makes this show so fun\u2014and so visually satisfying. It\u2019s cohesive without being repetitive, and playful while still feeling intentional.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The show is curated by Chad Mize, whose work is instantly recognizable across Tampa Bay and beyond for its playful doodles, bold colors, and tongue-in-cheek approach. His client list includes standouts like The Dali Museum, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Rays, and the shows he curates in the area consistently draw a crowd.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy purpose for creating art is to inspire and uplift the viewer. I consistently saturate my work with colors and concepts that radiate happiness,\u201d says Mize about his work. It\u2019s an approach that fits perfectly with the ENJOY theme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Many of the participating artists will be at the event on Thursday, mingling and talking about their work, which adds to the laid-back, community-forward feel of the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay Beer Week events<\/p>\n

This event is a longtime favorite during Tampa Bay Beer Week, with the Green Bench beer garden filling up with locals who appreciate good artwork and a crisp lager. It\u2019s equal parts art show and social hang from 6 to 9 p.m., and a great precursor to the \u201cGreetings From Florida\u201d beer fest<\/a> happening the very next night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
