Six guests were reportedly taken to the hospital after SeaWorld Orlando\u2019s Manta roller coaster paused for seven minutes<\/p>\n

The park told local outlets that guests reported feeling unwell and were transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution<\/p>\n

Their injuries were reportedly non-life-threatening, and the park resumed the ride shortly after the incident<\/p>\n

Six guests were reportedly taken to the hospital after a ride malfunctioned at SeaWorld Orlando.<\/p>\n

The guests were riding the Florida theme park’s Manta roller coaster on Friday, March 6, when it unexpectedly paused for seven minutes, according to reports from\u00a0News 6<\/a>,\u00a0Fox 35 Orlando,<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0WESH 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While it is unclear what exactly caused the riders’ injuries, the guests were transported to the hospital by the Orange County Fire Rescue Department as a result of the incident, the outlets report. Their injuries were reportedly not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

“Friday afternoon, a ride experienced a brief operational pause lasting approximately seven minutes. During that time, six guests reported not feeling well and emergency services were contacted,” SeaWorld Orlando told News 6 and WESH 2 in a statement.<\/p>\n

“Those individuals were transported to a local hospital for evaluation out of an abundance of caution,” the statement continued.<\/p>\n

The park also told the outlets that the ride resumed its operations shortly after, adding, “The safety of our guests, ambassadors, and animals is our top priority.”<\/p>\n

PEOPLE has reached out to SeaWorld Orlando and the Orange County Fire Rescue Department for comment.<\/p>\n

According to the park’s official website<\/a>, the Manta roller coaster makes riders “fly like a manta ray,” with its thrill level being described as “extreme.”<\/p>\n

“Find out what it’s like to spin, glide, skim and fly like a giant ray when you experience the only flying roller coaster of its kind in Florida,” the park adds of the ride.<\/p>\n

It notes that riders will be “taunted by a head-first, face-down inverted nosedive” and that they will “experience the full force and power of riding the high seas, all on one of the smoothest tracks in the world.”<\/p>\n
