LET’S TALK A LITTLE ABOUT SPRING BREAK. CAN WE PIVOT? LOOK AT WHAT WE’VE GOT FOR US. COOLING TEMPERATURES. SO ALL I’M SAYING IS THIS PARENTS, WHEN WE START MAKING OUR SPRING BREAK PLANS FOR NEXT WEEK, EARLY BEACH PLANS, THEN WE CAN DO SOME OTHER THINGS BECAUSE, YEAH, BOTH THE AMERICAN GFS AND THE EUROPEAN MODELS ARE SHOWING DROPPING TEMPERATURES LIKE SWEATSHIRT, SWEATER, JACKET, WEATHER. SO IT STILL LOOKS LIKE THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND AND MONDAY ARE GOING TO BE WARM. BUT AFTER THAT, THE MODELS ARE TRYING TO TAKE A BIT OF A DIP. SPEAKING OF A DIP, WE COULD GO FOR ONE TODAY. IT’S A GREAT DAY TO GET INTO THE BACKYARD SWIMMING POOL, SO LONG AS IT’S HEATED TEMPERATURES CLIMBING INTO THE UPPER RANGE OF THE 80S. THERE’S A MENTION OF A SPRINKLE, BUT ESSENTIALLY IT’S GOING TO BE NEAR RECORD HEAT TODAY. AND THEN LOOKING AHEAD TO TOMORROW, WE ACTUALLY MIGHT GET TO OUR FIRST 90 DEGREE DAY OF THE YEAR. THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I’M FORECASTING IN THE CITY, WHICH WOULD MAKE IT THE HOTTEST DAY SINCE EARLY OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR. AND BY THE WAY, TOMORROW’S RECORD IS 91, SO WE’RE AT LEAST GOING TO BE IN THE BALLPARK. TYPICALLY, WE HIT OUR FIRST 90 DEGREE DAY THE FIRST WEEK TO TWO WEEKS IN APRIL. WE’VE HAD THAT HAPPEN AS EARLY AS FEBRUARY THIS YEAR. IT MAY BE TOMORROW. SO HERE WE ARE IN A NICE HOT AIR MASS, NICE QUIET WEATHER FOR US. SAME IDEA FOR TOMORROW, BUT WE REALLY START TO HEAT UP AS THAT NEXT STORM SYSTEM MOVES IN. AND IF I’M HONEST WITH YOU, THIS IS GOING TO BE THE FURTHEST SOUTH STORM SYSTEM WE’VE SEEN THIS YEAR. IF THE FRONTS AND DIDN’T BASICALLY OCCLUDE, WE WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR SOME REAL NASTY WEATHER. I THINK AT THIS POINT THOUGH, IT’S JUST GOING TO BE SOME SHOWERS, MAYBE SOME THUNDERSHOWERS, BUT THE FRONT GOES STATIONARY OVER TOP OF US. AND WHAT THAT DOES IS THAT LEAVES US IN A RELATIVELY STORMY AIR PATTERN. SO WHILE WE’RE RELATIVELY QUIET NOW, NOTICE THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, CLEAR INTO NEXT WEEK, WE’RE GOING TO KEEP THE MENTION OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSHOWERS IN THE FORECAST THIS MORNING. NOTHING INCLEMENT. IT’S A NICE QUIET START, TRYING TO SEE SOME FOG DEVELOP UP HERE OVER MARION, BUT EVEN STILL, THAT’S NOT HAPPENING. 60S TO THE LOWER 70S AROUND TOWN. BUS STOP FORECAST DOES MENTION PATCHY FOG, BUT IT’S COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURES. AND THEN THE RIDE HOME FROM SCHOOL LOOKS GREAT WITH READINGS NEARLY TO 90. WE’LL HIT 90 LEESBURG OCALA AND WILDWOOD 89 IN ORLANDO TODAY, 85 IN DAYTONA BEACH, 84 IN MELBOURNE. AND WHILE WE’RE GOING TO BE AWFULLY CLOSE TO RECORDS IN ORLANDO AND SANFORD, I DO THINK WE’LL GET TO A RECORD HIGH TODAY IN LEESBURG. TOMORROW WE’LL HIT 90 FOR THE FIRST TIME. THEN WE GET THE RAINS ARRIVING THURSDAY,

Temperatures are expected to reach nearly 90 degrees on Tuesday.
