THE LARGE SCALE PLAN WOULD ADD HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SQUARE FEET OF HOUSING, RETAIL, OFFICE SPACE AND A HOTEL NEAR THE BRIGHTLINE STATION. SUPPORTERS SAY THE PROJECT WOULD ALSO REPLACE AGING CITY BUILDINGS AND BRING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF ECONOMIC INVESTMENT. HOWEVER, THIS PLAN HAS SEEN A LOT OF CHANGES AND BACKLASH. THOSE AGAINST THE PROJECT ARGUE THE CITY SHOULD NOT SELL PUBLIC LAND TO PRIVATE DEVELOPERS. THEY\u2019VE ALSO LISTED A NUMBER OF OTHER BIG CONCERNS, FROM IMPACT ON NATURE AREAS TO TRAFFIC HERE IN THE CITY. I\u2019M ALL FOR DEVELOPMENT. OUR CITY HAS TO GROW. HOWEVER, THIS IS PUBLIC LAND, SO PUBLIC LAND WE SHOULD KEEP AND PRESERVE FOR US. IT\u2019S A COMPREHENSIVE DOWNTOWN PROJECT FOR US THAT WILL ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN BOCA RATON AND.
