<\/a><\/p>\nFans of Jurassic Park may recognize this replica of the Ford Explorer tour vehicles featured in the franchise\u2019s original 1993 movie. <\/p>\n
In the film, these automated electric tour SUVs transport visitors through the dinosaur enclosures on guided tracks. During a pivotal sequence, one of the Explorers is attacked by a Tyrannosaurus rex after a power failure disables the park\u2019s security systems. The vehicle\u2019s design became one of the most recognizable props in the franchise.<\/p>\n
It has been featured previously in the park area alongside the Jeep Wranglers featured in the series, both of which have been occasionally relocated<\/a> throughout Universal property.<\/p>\n The vehicle is painted in a high-contrast lime green, red, and yellow livery, with the Jurassic Park logo prominently featured on the doors and hood. It comes equipped with off-road tires, a roof-mounted light bar, and black trim.<\/p>\n The rear view reveals a yellow bumper, red upper paneling, and a custom license plate reading \u201c05\u201d with Jurassic Park branding \u2013\u00a0denoting this Ford as specifically one of the two caught in the T-Rex incident, the other being numbered \u201c04.\u201d<\/p>\n We found the new car just outside of the Jurassic Park River Adventure<\/a> queue, which is currently closed for refurbishment<\/a>.<\/p>\n New Triceratops Head Mount Nearby in the Jurassic Park area, we found this sizable new Triceratops head prominently displayed in the Jurassic Outfitters gift shop.<\/a><\/p>\n The head comes roped off with signs of \u201cCAUTION\u201d keeping guests away.
