She teaches general music, chorus and leads a modern rock band. She encourages her students to explore all that music can bring to their lives.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s very special,\u201d said Claywell student James Shook. \u201cI\u2019ve never really had such a wonderful music teacher.\u201d<\/p>\n
Student Cato Dimitridais also said he enjoys her class.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe will take time out of her schedule, which just makes me feel happy that I can count on her to help me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Travaglino said it is important for her students learn at their own pace but still continue to grow.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen the students go through this process, they gain the benefits of setting a goal and working towards it. And realizing that you just have to keep going,\u201d said Travaglino. \u201cWe\u2019re learning teamwork and dedication. We are learning listening skills, being able to keep a steady beat.\u201d<\/p>\n
Travaglino wants her students to be inspired by music, and she\u2019s created a space where they can express themselves<\/p>\n
\u201cThey don\u2019t have to be the performers,\u201d she said. \u201cThey can be the audience. They can be consumers.
