I felt the need to address the elephant in the room on The Morning Show today — my new hairstyle.<\/p>\n
No, I\u2019m not making a fashion statement.<\/p>\n
For those of you who may not know, I have been diagnosed with a very progressive and aggressive form of cancer, and the new look was not unexpected.<\/p>\n
It is a side effect of chemotherapy.<\/p>\n
But Christy and I decided to take matters into our own hands after the pillowcases on our bed started to look like a bearskin rug.<\/p>\n
Rather than go with the patchy, awkward look, we went ahead and shaved my head.<\/p>\n
My fondest hope is that sharing my brutally honest journey and positive news about the cancer fight can help shift the narrative from fear to hope for many of you.<\/p>\n
And I sincerely want to thank all of you for the thousands of well wishes, expressing support, kindness, and prayers.<\/p>\n
They mean more to me than you will ever know.<\/p>\n
It helps pave this journey with a solid foundation that will allow me to beat this cancer.<\/p>\n
