Key Biscayne residents will hear about code compliance enforcement goals regarding the safety and aesthetic improvement of the swale areas in the housing districts during Tuesday night’s Village Council meeting.<\/p>\n
Just a week ago, there was a broad discussion on how to define certain acceptable and non-acceptable landscape materials.<\/p>\n
It’s just one of several items on the agenda.<\/p>\n

A second reading on increasing business tax fees will be up for discussion.<\/p>\n
A resolution will be on the table to charge for Village Green park usage by non-public educational facilities, along with licensing negotiations.<\/p>\n
A resolution to select the firm of Berry, Dunn, McNeil and Parker for a Key Biscayne Community Center assessment, audit and feasibility study, not to exceed $210,100, will be up for a vote.<\/p>\n
Also, a resolution to select the Stout Group LLC for replacement of traffic calming devices, not to exceed $248,385, is up for a vote.<\/p>\n
Chief Financial Officer Benjamin Nussbaum will provide an update on potential property tax reforms.<\/p>\n
Building, Zoning and Planning Director Jeremy Calleros Gauger will provide an update on code compliance statistics as well as building department stats.<\/p>\n
Vice Mayor Oscar Sardi\u00f1as will speak about the ways the Village is helping to strengthen the K-8 Center’s educational goals.<\/p>\n
A resolution to select RAE All Day LLC to operate the Village’s youth lacrosse program will be discussed.<\/p>\n
An official from engineering planner and consultant Kimley-Horn will show a comparison of pervious and impervious roadways.<\/p>\n
Advisory boards for sustainability and education will present their annual reports.<\/p>\n
