A 35-year-old woman from Florida is facing\u00a0the possibility\u00a0life in prison in connection with\u00a0a shooting earlier this week outside popstar\u00a0Rihanna\u2019s Beverly Crest mansion<\/a>, the Los Angeles County District Attorney\u2019s Office announced.<\/p>\n

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department\u00a0responded to the\u00a0singer\u2019s home in\u00a09500 block of Heather Road around 1:15 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of shots fired.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Tuesday,\u00a0LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell told officials that a witness spotted\u00a0the suspect,\u00a0Ivanna Ortiz<\/a>, a resident of Orlando,\u00a0behind the wheel of a white Tesla just before the gunfire erupted.<\/p>\n

Once officers broadcast a description of the vehicle and a license plate reader in Benedict Canyon captured the Tesla\u2019s movements, a LAPD helicopter\u00a0began tracking Ortiz, who was pulled over and arrested near Ventura and Sepulveda boulevards in Sherman Oaks, McDonnell added.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the 35-year-old had an\u00a0AR-style rifle, a blonde wig,\u00a0additional\u00a0ammunition\u00a0and a 30-round capacity magazine in the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Seven people were on the sprawling Beverly Crest property at the time of the shooting, including Rihanna, her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky and the couple\u2019s three children, the Los Angeles Times reported.<\/p>\n

No one was injured during the ordeal, but gunfire struck the home, as well as an Airstream trailer\u00a0that Rihanna and Rocky were in at the time. A neighbor\u2019s home was also hit by\u00a0bullets.<\/p>\n

A licensed speech therapist,\u00a0Ortiz has prior arrests in Florida for careless driving, domestic violence and battery, The Times reported.<\/a><\/p>\n

A Facebook page\u00a0reportedly tied\u00a0to Ortiz by the\u00a0NY Post<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0TMZ<\/a>, shows a Feb. 23 post where she addresses the \u201cUmbrella\u201d singer.<\/p>\n

\u201c@badgalriri\u00a0Are you there?\u201d\u00a0she\u00a0wrote, tagging the singer and entrepreneur\u2019s Instagram account. \u201cCause [sic] I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you talking to me where I\u2019m not at.\u201d<\/p>\n

That caption\u00a0accompanied\u00a0a selfie of Ortiz sporting blonde hair and red lipstick.<\/p>\n

Days later, she posted a video addressing rapper Cardi B as she talked to herself in the mirror.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0be f\u2013k with me Cardi B,\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0supposedly busy\u00a0right now. But you know who has the cutest outfit tonight?\u00a0You know who\u2019s\u00a0the cutest tonight? I am,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m\u00a0the cutest tonight. You\u00a0ain\u2019t\u00a0doing\u00a0nothing\u00a0to me. You\u00a0ain\u2019t\u00a0messing with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post was from Feb. 27, which was when Cardi B was in San Francisco for her Little Miss Drama Tour.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0unclear if Ortiz attended that performance.<\/p>\n

At a Tuesday\u00a0news conference<\/a>, L.A. County DA Nathan Hochman decried the violence.<\/p>\n

\u201cOpening fire in any populated neighborhood is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk and will be fully prosecuted,\u201d\u00a0he said. \u201cThankfully, no one was injured in this shooting, but this careless violence will not be tolerated in our community.\u00a0Such shooters will find their next destination to be our jails and prisons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ortiz\u00a0has been charged\u00a0with\u00a0one count of attempted murder, 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic\u00a0firearm\u00a0and three\u00a0felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.<\/p>\n

She\u00a0remains\u00a0in custody on $1.8 million bail and is scheduled to appear in court again\u00a0on\u00a0March 25.<\/p>\n
