ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Piles of metal are burning at a scrapyard in Orlando, sending huge columns of smoke into the air, according to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department.<\/p>\n
In a post on X, the agency said a 50-by-50 pile of metal is burning at TMR- Trademark Metals Recycling, near Landstreet and Sidney Hayes Road, east of State Road 528. No structures are threatened.<\/p>\n

According to its website, Trademark Metals Recycling operates 22 recycling facilities throughout Florida. It’s a wholly owned venture of The David J. Joseph Company.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The company buys scrap metal, both household and industrial, like stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers; junk cars, old trucks, farm equipment, as well as aluminum cans, pots and pants, brass, copper, etc.<\/p>\n
