ORACLE PHOTO\/DYLAN SABOL<\/p>\n<p>USF\u2019s uncertified general election results were released on Tuesday, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usforacle.com\/2026\/02\/25\/usf-presidential-candidate-hunter-rabinowitz-mia-riley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hunter Rabinowitz and Mia Riley<\/a> winning as student body president and vice president, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Madisyn Mcreynolds, SG\u2019s supervisor of elections, said there is no official date for when the results will be certified due to pending grievances and SG Supreme Court trials.<\/p>\n<p>Grievances are complaints brought to the Election Rules Commission against a candidate, ticket or any group in an SG election, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/usf.app.box.com\/s\/dqt2rdc6j6gk15xlexbwvhbkc5efgwxx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SG Statutes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mcreynolds did not specify how many grievances were filed or what the trials will address.<\/p>\n<p>New student leaders will be inaugurated into their roles at the start of the seventh consolidated term in May.<\/p>\n<p>Rabinowitz and Riley won with 2,462 votes, compared to the next runners-up, Caio Esmeraldi and Maria Julia Mussa Martins, with 1,054, according to an SG document obtained by The Oracle.<\/p>\n<p>Rabinowitz and Riley previously told The Oracle they plan to implement and stand by three pillars \u2014 collaboration, safety and streamlining SG processes for student organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe average student doesn\u2019t know much about Student Government, so we should really try to get ourselves out there more and promote the resources that we provide that students don\u2019t use that much,\u201d Rabinowitz said.<\/p>\n<p>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usforacle.com\/2026\/03\/02\/usf-student-government-presidential-debate-covers-budget-more\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">USF SG presidential debate covers budget cuts, transparency and more<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The uncertified Tampa governor and lieutenant governor winners are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usforacle.com\/2026\/03\/02\/usf-tampa-gubernatorial-governor-candidates\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ava Unutoa and Brooks Cornelison<\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The gubernatorial ticket won with 2,308 votes, compared to their opponents, James Mayer and Julia Jacomini Silva, with 1,555 votes, according to an SG document obtained by The Oracle.<\/p>\n<p>Unutoa and Cornelison previously told The Oracle their main goal is to be transparent with the Tampa student body through town halls \u2014 which would inform students on SG decisions and collect feedback.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur biggest priority is creating a better and stronger community at USF,\u201d Unutoa said.<\/p>\n<p>Both the presidential and Tampa gubernatorial uncertified winners ran their campaigns under the platform \u201cForwardUSF,\u201d which is centered around student connection, transparency and action-oriented leadership, according to their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/forwardusf\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usforacle.com\/2026\/03\/02\/usf-tampa-gubernatorial-governor-candidates\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Meet the competition for USF SG\u2019s gubernatorial race<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>USF Sarasota-Manatee\u2019s only gubernatorial ticket \u2014 and the uncertified winner \u2014 was composed of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usf.edu\/student-affairs\/student-government\/sm-sg\/sm-executive-branch\/sm-staff.aspx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andre Aquino<\/a> as governor and Delaney Gutierrez as lieutenant governor.<\/p>\n<p>Aquino is the current Sarasota-Manatee governor alongside Dennis Kukharenko as lieutenant governor. Gutierrez is a Sarasota-Manatee senator.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, USF\u2019s St. Pete campus did not have a gubernatorial ticket run for office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Because of this, Mcreynolds said the campus will have a special election for both campus council and gubernatorial positions starting March 23.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Hunter Rabinowitz and Mia Riley won the election for student body president and vice president.
