(WCTV) &#8211; This weekend is \u201cPick a Pupkin\u201d &#8211; which means people can adopt pets for free at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. The first 25 adopters will also get a free pumpkin.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"People can adopt pets for free this weekend during Pick a Pupkin!\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/362TMCCWK5EGTPOTTNKS4DN2FQ.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"1225\" \/>People can adopt pets for free this weekend during Pick a Pupkin!(WCTV)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kennels will be open from 10am until 5pm Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find fur-ever homes faster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:<\/p>\n<p>MEET BETSY<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"This adventure loving pup has one of the softest, most luxurious coats ever!\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/XQJHAAJUPRCETLFA6R6XYGWXUU.JPG\" width=\"980\" height=\"735\" \/>This adventure loving pup has one of the softest, most luxurious coats ever!(WCTV)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Meet Betsy. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This shepherd hound mix is a happy handful! <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Betsy was in hog heaven, or maybe we should say dog heaven, walking the trails and enjoying all the sights, sounds and smells along the way. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Betsy was actually found wandering alone on a hiking trail in North Carolina, but the people who found her could not locate her family. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Betsy loves outdoor adventures and car rides. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The 7-month-old pup has one of the softest, most luxurious coats ever and she\u2019d be a great snuggler if you can get her to slow down for a moment! <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Please visit Betsy at the shelter this weekend! <\/p>\n<p>MEET FURNANDO<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"This joy boy likes cats and dogs and can\u2019t wait to join an active affectionate family like yours!\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/HKZHZFICLRFJDIWWDO2PVDIQ2E.JPG\" width=\"980\" height=\"735\" \/>This joy boy likes cats and dogs and can\u2019t wait to join an active affectionate family like yours!(WCTV)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Meet Furnando. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Get it? \u201cFur\u201dnando. Sweet Keke. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This English bulldog isn\u2019t just laid back, she\u2019s leisurely. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">With expressive eyes that seem to say \u2018I\u2019ve seen some things,\u2019 Keke is into people watching, couch surfing, porch sitting, and perhaps lounging at your feet at an outdoor cafe. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Keke is into peace and quiet and companionship. If you\u2019re looking for a best friend just like that, you can visit Keke at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n<p>MEET DUNDEE<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Dundee is into toys, treats and play dates!\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/AOWPSSUGBRAJHB4GVZVAOFQ3NI.JPG\" width=\"980\" height=\"735\" \/>Dundee is into toys, treats and play dates!(WCTV)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Meet Dundee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This soft, sweet pup will climb right into your lap and mesmerize you with her deep blue eyes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Dundee is a husky mix who is anxious to explore the great outdoors and the big wide world with you. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">She is into toys, treats and play dates. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">She is polite and social and is still trying to make sense of a cat named Henry, who tagged along on our walk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">You can meet Dundee at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n<p>MEET AND GREET<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center.
