Jaguars fans \u2014 how would you grade the team\u2019s start to 2026 NFL free agency?<\/p>\n

During the NFL legal tampering window, Jacksonville\u2019s front office has focused on retaining glue guys on team-friendly deals (CB Montaric Brown<\/a>, OLB Dennis Gardeck<\/a>, TE Quintin Morris<\/a>) over entering bidding wars on homegrown stars (RB Travis Etienne<\/a>, LB Devin Lloyd<\/a>).<\/p>\n

When you consider the recent contract extensions of WR Jakobi Meyers<\/a> and OL Cole Van Lanen<\/a>, the Jaguars essentially chose to invest in WR, OL, CB, OLB, and TE over RB and LB.<\/p>\n

It\u2019d be nice to pay everyone. Considering Jacksonville had to restructure several contracts just to get out of the negatives in salary cap space<\/a>, on top of the near-top-of-market deals that Etienne and Lloyd demanded, it made sense to let them walk.<\/p>\n

Free agency officially kicked off today (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. ET, and the only teams yet to have added a player from another team are Seattle, Denver, and Jacksonville.<\/p>\n
