That\u2019s rare. The lack of rain (and ongoing drought) have had us waiting anxiously for rain opportunities.  The potential increases at the end of the week and doesn\u2019t stop there!  Before that happens, though, we\u2019ll have a push of warmer air and higher humidity on Thursday.  While we\u2019ll probably stop short of records in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, we could come close to record highs in the Lower Florida Keys (Key West).  Here\u2019s a check on the numbers.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/6_c9358e.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1681824\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">  The added \u201cspring\u201d in temperature is due to winds turning out of the southwest.  While it\u2019s not officially the spring season for over a week, it will definitely feel spring-like and actually more typical of May, than March.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Blog-1-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1681825\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This is the Thursday weather map showing the progression of hotter air expanding out of the tropics.  To our north?  A weakening Front will enter north and central Florida so we\u2019ll initially be on the steamy side of it.  There may be a few afternoon showers popping during the afternoon, but they\u2019ll be isolated to scattered.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Blog-2-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1681827\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Rain chances increase on Friday, and beyond.  Forecast models show the \u201cweakening remains\u201d of the Front falling apart this weekend.  After that, the chance for wet weather continues due to a pool of moisture holding over the region.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Blog-4-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1681828\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">On the Friday map (above) you can see the stalling, fading front draped over the area.  You\u2019ll also see the division of drier air to our north. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Blog-3-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1681829\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The upcoming weekend will feature times of showers, especially as the moisture plume expands north (later in the weekend).  Then, we\u2019ll simply wait for another front.  It\u2019s forecast to move southward, gradually working our way into early next week.
