Florida woman caught going 136mph on says she was just having stomach issues<\/a><\/p>\nHosted on Saturday, March 7, the event gave kids the chance to climb aboard a commercial jet, sit in real passenger seats, and pose for photos behind the controls \u2014 all while meeting the pilots, mechanics, and crewmembers who help keep flights in the air every day. The hands-on stations let them learn how airplanes fly, how crews prepare for takeoff, and what it really looks like to work in aviation. The annual program is designed to spark interest in aviation and STEM careers and Fort Lauderdale has been a recurring stop since 2023.<\/p>\n
Chaperones snapped photos as the girls lit up while exploring the cabin, proudly taking their seats like future travelers \u2014 or maybe future pilots.<\/p>\n
U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz also attended the event, supporting JetBlue\u2019s push to inspire the next generation of women in aviation. <\/p>\n
The event took place inside the JetScape Services Hangar on SW 34th Street, just outside Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.<\/p>\n
