Miami-Dade County officials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Miami International Airport today to celebrate the grand opening of the first Wait n\u2019 Rest sleep rooms in North America and only the second location worldwide.<\/p>\n

The 15 Wait n\u2019 Rest luxury sleep rooms inside MIA\u2019s Concourse D can occupy one to four guests and include luxury hotel-level bedding and linen, in-room touchscreen entertainment and information monitors, and access to private showers and bathrooms, fresh towels, and a curated selection of snacks and beverages \u2013 all at an hourly rate up to eight hours. A second MIA location in Concourse H is scheduled to open this summer.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Wait n\u2019 Rest, finding a comfortable, convenient place to get refreshed, recharged, and rejuvenated while traveling through MIA just got much easier. I am proud to welcome the first Wait n\u2019 Rest location in North America to Miami-Dade County, and I look forward to seeing their high-demand service provide rest and relaxation to our visitors from around the world.<\/p>\n

Each suite is designed to deliver a premium rest experience, combining quiet luxury aesthetics, thoughtful design, and technology-driven convenience. The space is equally suited for travelers seeking recovery and sleep, as well as professionals needing a private environment for meetings or focused work between flights.<\/p>\n

Every aspect of the experience is powered by technology. From in-room touchscreens, guests can control their environment and order food and beverage products directly to their suite, creating a seamless self-guided stay tailored to modern travel habits.<\/p>\n

Short stays begin at $40 for 60 minutes for one guest, with rates increasing based on occupancy: $55 for two guests, $70 for three guests, and $85 for four guests. The eight-hour overnight package starts at $200 for one guest, $215 for two guests, $230 for three guests, and $245 for four guests, offering flexible options for different travel needs while delivering high value relative to traditional airport hospitality alternatives.<\/p>\n

The opening of Wait n\u2019 Rest is the latest customer service enhancement that is elevating the passenger experience at MIA. In 2025, Business travel platform Booking.com named MIA its third-best U.S. airport for business travelers; J.D. Power ranked MIA the most-improved mega airport in North America for customer satisfaction; Global Traveler magazine named MIA its Best Airport for Layovers Award; and Food & Wine magazine included MIA in its annual list of Top 10 U.S. Airports for Food and Drink.<\/p>\n
