For decades, the height of condo living in Tampa Bay was restricted to older beachfront complexes with a handful of outliers on St. Petersburg\u2019s Beach Drive or Tampa\u2019s Bayshore Boulevard.<\/p>\n

As an influx of new money has flooded the region in recent years, it\u2019s ushered in a luxury condo renaissance.<\/p>\n

High-end high rises are popping up across Tampa Bay. Many of these buildings are still in the planning phase.<\/p>\n

Developers rely on pre-sales to fund construction of these projects. To make their condos stand out from the crowd, they\u2019re offering VIP treatment to wealthy buyers.<\/a><\/p>\n

Here are some of the most expensive sales to hit the market so far.<\/p>\n

This penthouse unit shattered the region\u2019s record<\/a> for most expensive condo last July, before a construction timeline was even announced.<\/p>\n

Once complete, the 50-story Waldorf Astoria Residences will become the tallest tower in St. Petersburg. It is also the city\u2019s first five-start branded condo.<\/p>\n

Amenities will include saunas, steam rooms, an infinity pool that wraps around the perimeter of the building and a sky lounge with a sunset bar and outdoor terrace. Residents will have round-the-clock access to a personal concierge, valet parking, a doorman and bellman services.<\/p>\n

The penthouse unit will span 10,684 square feet and feature a 50-foot private pool, a private foyer entry and custom closets.<\/p>\n

The project is backed by national real estate firm PMG and local developer Feldman Equities along with City Office REIT.<\/p>\n

It will be built at 150 Second Ave. S on the site of what is currently a six-story parking garage for the City Center office tower.<\/p>\n

No deed has been filed yet and the name of the buyer was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

This 4,840-square-foot penthouse went under contract<\/a> in February, days after sales launched in the building. It brought in the highest price per square foot of any condo in Tampa Bay.<\/p>\n

The 29-story tower is a collaboration between Clearwater-based Valor Real Estate Development and French furniture maker Roche Bobois. It is the region\u2019s first designer-branded condo.<\/p>\n

The building will have a glass-edge jacuzzi overlooking the city, outdoor kitchen and grill areas, a fireside lounge, a spa with aquatic therapy, a sauna and a cold plunge, a pet park and a pet salon.<\/p>\n

The penthouse will feature 29-foot high ceilings and a nearly 1,800-square-foot outdoor balcony.<\/p>\n

No deed has been filed yet. The anonymous buyer has reportedly purchased two additional units in the building.<\/p>\n

Several century-old buildings on the corner of Fourth Street S and Fourth Avenue S will be demolished later this year to make way for construction.<\/p>\n

This 11,140 square-foot, 27th story penthouse went under contract in 2021 as the property was being built. The deal officially closed<\/a> in 2024, when the first of two towers opened.<\/p>\n

Developer Related Group completed the second tower earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The buyer is listed as Kentucky-based Oinkerton Investments LLC. That company also owns a condo in the Aquatica on Bayshore, according to Hillsborough County property records.<\/p>\n

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, located just off Bayshore Blvd, offers a resort-like atmosphere with personalized concierge, pool-side food and beverage service, on-demand spa services, 24\/7 doorman and valet and complimentary continental breakfast each morning. There are saunas and steam rooms, a media lounge with a golf simulator, pickleball and tennis courts, and a dog park.<\/p>\n

The wife of the Tampa Bay Lightning\u2019s new co-owner purchased this condo located across the street from Benchmark International Arena.<\/p>\n

1000 Water Street Tampa 2201 LLC closed on the property in February, according to a deed filed with the Hillsborough County Clerk. A representative for Ostrover told the Tampa Bay Business Journal<\/a> that she was the buyer.<\/p>\n

She is married to Doug Ostrover, the billionaire CEO of Blue Owl Capital, who purchased Jeff Vinik\u2019s majority share of the hockey team in 2024. She serves as a director of The Lightning Foundation.<\/p>\n

Vinik also owns a unit in the building. He bought the 27th floor penthouse for $8.3 million<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n

There are 37 residences in total. They occupy the same building as the Tampa Edition Hotel. Residents have access to all the hotel amenities including the rooftop pool, the spa and the fitness center.<\/p>\n

This 5,349-square-foot condo<\/a> on Clearwater Beach sold to an Ohio real estate agent named Deborah Gerbus in 2023, Pinellas County property records show.<\/p>\n

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has three private terraces with Gulf views. There\u2019s a large great room, crown molding, espresso-stained mirrored wall panels, travertine floors, and walls of sliding glass doors.<\/p>\n

Amenities on the property include a media room, a billiards room, a steam room and sauna, a beachfront pool area with cabanas and 24-hour concierge service.<\/p>\n

The condo and resort were developed by JMC Communities. Construction was completed in 2007.<\/p>\n
