TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is facing charges after allegedly threatening to kill President Donald Trump, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n
Diego Villavicencio, 36, is charged with two counts of interstate communication of threats, one county of impeding or retaliating against a federal official and one count of threats against the President. <\/p>\n
According to court documents, the FBI was notified of several \u201cconcerning and threatening statement\u201d posted to X in September 2025. Court records show the statements were against government officials and CEOs. <\/p>\n
These messages often ended with \u201cdeath to America\u201d and \u201cblowing up America,\u201d documents show. <\/p>\n

One of the threats was directed against a member of Congress. In response to a post by the Congress member, Villavicencio said \u201cI\u2019ll kill you and your family and you won\u2019t do anything about it. Corruption listens to bullets,\u201d according to documents.<\/p>\n
Court documents show Villavicencio also threatened President Trump, saying \u201cI\u2019ll be driving there to take a couple of shots at trump and some of the other corrupt plutocrats.\u201d <\/p>\n
Evidence gathered throughout the investigation indicated Villavicencio has history of making similar threats and had previously been arrested for aggravated assault. <\/p>\n
Villavicencio faces up to five years in prison on each count of interstate communication of threats and threatening the President and ten years for impeding or retaliating against a federal official. <\/p>\n
His trial is scheduled for May 5, 2026. <\/p>\n
An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt.<\/p>\n
