Screenshot via @volvoshine\/X<\/a><\/p>\n On Thursday afternoon, the social media account @ONLYinDADE posted a 30-second video<\/a> that appeared to show a raid at a smoke shop along Biscayne Boulevard in Miami.<\/p>\n The clip opens with an aerial view of officers in bulky SWAT gear detaining people in an alley in the Edgewater neighborhood. It then cuts to officers standing beside several people lined up on the street.<\/p>\n Finally, the camera pans to a nun. <\/p>\n The video shows a nun wearing a bright blue veil, long navy tunic, and Rosary while sitting calmly in a plastic chair, seemingly unfazed by the chaos unfolding around her. She\u2019s posted up next to a woman sporting what looks like business-casual attire. In a photo posted on X (formerly Twitter), apparently taken at a different point in the day, the sister is spotted at the scene sitting next to two men who, in their dress pants and ties, look like stereotypical car salesmen. <\/p>\n Naturally, people had questions. <\/p>\n \u201cWhat is Sister Mary Juana doing there?\u201d one person replied to the video on X.<\/p>\n What is Sister Mary Juana doing there?<\/p>\n \u2014 Milenka~ (@MilenaAmit) March 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThe random NUN is taking me OUT,\u201d another wrote. \u201cONLY IN MIAMI.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cSister Jane in da house??\u201d a third joked.<\/p>\n Mike Vega, a spokesperson for the Miami Police Department, explains to New Times that SWAT officers were serving a warrant as part of an investigation into alleged drug sales at the location. Because the probe is ongoing, Vega said he was unable to release additional information about the operation, including who was arrested.<\/p>\n Video posted online appears to show the police activity taking place outside Ark Smoke Shop on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. The shop, which appears to have locations in Downtown, South Miami, and Edgewater, sells a variety of hemp and nicotine products. No one picked up when New Times called seeking comment.
