The Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans<\/a> will head out on the road to take on the Miami Country Day Spartans<\/a> at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hialeah-Miami Lakes will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.<\/p>\n

Hialeah-Miami Lakes is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Westland Hialeah with a sharp 17-3 victory on Wednesday. The team’s explosion at the plate also rewarded the Trojans with their most commanding win of the season.<\/p>\n

Lawerence Lorenzo<\/a> and Jayden Chapman<\/a> were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lorenzo pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Chapman struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That’s the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. At the plate, Lorenzo got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Chapman got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Miguel Jimenez<\/a>, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Oliver<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.<\/p>\n

Hialeah-Miami Lakes hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Miami Country Day lost 9-3 to Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on Wednesday. The Spartans have struggled against the Stallions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.<\/p>\n

Like Hialeah-Miami Lakes, Miami Country Day also got a great game from a two-way player: Quinn Smith<\/a>. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Smith was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, Marcus Ferrer<\/a> was cooking despite his team’s loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.<\/p>\n

Hialeah-Miami Lakes’ record now sits at 6-1. As for Miami Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.<\/p>\n

Friday’s contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hialeah-Miami Lakes has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .534. However, it’s not like Miami Country Day struggles in that department as they’ve averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.<\/p>\n

Hialeah-Miami Lakes was able to grind out a solid win over Miami Country Day when the teams last played on Friday, winning 9-6.
