Northeast<\/a> has gone a perfect 10-0 against St. Petersburg<\/a> recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Green Devils at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.<\/p>\n While Northeast’s win against Clearwater wasn’t quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tornadoes 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.<\/p>\n Forrest Nelson<\/a> looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.<\/p>\n At the plate, Northeast secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Charlie Tatelbaum<\/a>, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, St. Petersburg got the win against Hollins on Wednesday by a conclusive 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Green Devils, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.<\/p>\n Danny Snyder<\/a> made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Snyder was also solid in the batter’s box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.<\/p>\n In other pitching news, Ethan Bess<\/a> tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn’t given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.<\/p>\n Back at the plate, Auston Meissner<\/a> was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of David Di Angelo<\/a>, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.<\/p>\n Northeast’s record now sits at 4-6. As for St. Petersburg, their record is now 7-4.<\/p>\n Northeast came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Petersburg when the teams last played back in March of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won’t have the home-field advantage this time around.
