(WCTV) &#8211; A Tallahassee man pleaded guilty to federal firearm charges stemming from a 2025 shootout, according to the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Joseph Williams, 63, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Williams pleaded guilty to federal firearm charges, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/PCOXTTCLERDMHCLSDY2V7YHV4E.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Williams pleaded guilty to federal firearm charges, according to the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office(Florida Department of Corrections)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Court documents show Williams was involved in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/04\/12\/tpd-one-hospitalized-after-shootout-near-frenchtown-friday-afternoon\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2025\/04\/12\/tpd-one-hospitalized-after-shootout-near-frenchtown-friday-afternoon\/\">gunfight at Carter-Howell-Strong Park in April 2025<\/a>. During the shootout, Williams was shot in the foot. Law enforcement found blood and a firearm in the backseat of his girlfriend\u2019s car which matched shell casings recovered from the park shooting. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to court documents, Williams was arrested in November 2024 after a traffic stop. Officers found a firearm barrel sticking out of his shorts.
