A seven-bedroom home on Allison Island, once owned by rapper Lil Wayne, sold to an undisclosed buyer for $33.25 million.<\/p>\n

Another big sale just closed in Miami Beach.<\/p>\n

An Allison Island mansion once owned by rapper Lil Wayne \u2014 seven bedrooms and 10,632 square feet \u2014 sold to an undisclosed buyer for $33.25 million this week. Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., unloaded it<\/a> in 2023 for right around the $22M mark.<\/p>\n

Allison Island, located near La Gorce Island, has been in the spotlight lately. Google co-founder Sergey Brin reportedly purchased a $51 million home there earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Real estate agent Cyril Matz, who represented the undisclosed seller, said the island hasn\u2019t always been so buzzy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Allison Island\u2019s always lagged behind all the others \u2014 La Gorce, Sunset Islands,\u201d Matz told the Miami Herald. \u201cNow it\u2019s definitely on par with these other islands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matz said Brin\u2019s purchase has drawn attention to Allison Island. But he thinks the island\u2019s waterfront views and proximity to high-end amenities like La Gorce Country Club, Bal Harbour Shops and the Surf Club are also driving demand for homes there. There are more than 40 homes on Allison Island, all on the water.<\/p>\n

Lil Wayne\u2019s former residence is on the more desirable west side of the island, which has views of La Gorce Island and the Miami skyline. The home Brin reportedly purchased, which is on a double lot, is on the west side as well.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMona Lisa\u201d singer\u2019s onetime crib was listed for $36.9 million in December and was marked as pending in the local multiple listing service in January. The sale closed on Monday.<\/p>\n

Dina Goldentayer represented the buyer. She declined to comment on the sale.<\/p>\n

In January, a seven-bedroom, 6,549-square-foot house on the west side of the island sold for $21 million. The previous owners were dermatologist Arthur Weissmann and his wife Trudy Harris.<\/p>\n
