PALATKA, Fla. (WXIX) – A 16-year-old who was originally reported missing from Colerain Township in February has been safely located, the Cincinnati chapter of the FBI stated on X<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Madison Fields was located in Palatka, Florida, the FBI stated. <\/p>\n

Authorities were able to locate Fields after they identified a person of interest in Tennessee related to her disappearance. <\/p>\n

The FBI\u2019s Hostage Rescue Team went to the suspect\u2019s home, but he had already left, the FBI stated.<\/p>\n

They then tracked the suspect to a hotel in Florida. <\/p>\n

Law enforcement says they were alerted to watch for him and his vehicle, which was found by the FBI and local police in a parking lot in Palatka. <\/p>\n

Fields was discovered safe in a hotel there.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo know that she was found alive is just, considering the circumstances, I mean, this whole situation is extremely scary, and to know that she\u2019s okay, and she will be making her way back home is just a huge relief,\u201d family friend Alicia Brabant expressed Friday. \u201cI genuinely don\u2019t think this would\u2019ve been possible without the community, the news, and everybody just sharing and spreading the world, spreading her face and sharing her photo around. Obviously, she had a village and an army around her, and she probably didn\u2019t know it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The FBI says the suspect is now in custody.<\/p>\n

As Colerain police searched for Fields, the Ohio Attorney General\u2019s Office designated her an endangered missing juvenile.<\/p>\n

Fields\u2019s father, Tyler Hirn, organized a fourth search party for her on Friday. Fields went missing a week prior.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not mad at you at all,\u201d Hirn said, attempting to reach out to his daughter. \u201cWe just want you back home, safe and sound. We miss you, and we need you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fields was last seen on the 7400 block of Colerain Avenue on Feb. 13, walking along Harry Lee Lane.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was on an app called Sessions, and then was supposed to meet some guy Josh, who was 18, and that\u2019s when she walked off camera,\u201d Hirn said. \u201cWe haven\u2019t seen her since.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hirn gathered people to take flyers and post them wherever they could in hopes someone would recognize her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m barely standing, man,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m not getting no sleep; my wife\u2019s not getting no sleep. All I\u2019m doing is crying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Friends and family were there to help alongside strangers and former customers of Hirn\u2019s who saw that he needed more people to search.<\/p>\n
