\nCincinnati re-signed OT Orlando Brown<\/a> Jr. to a two-year, $32 million deal. Brown said Cincinnati is where he wanted to be: \u201cThere\u2019s no other place I\u2019d rather be.\u201d\u00a0(Paul Dehner Jr.<\/a>)<\/p>\n

The Ravens lost C Tyler Linderbaum<\/a> on the open market to the Raiders, which signed him to a massive three-year, $81 million contract. Baltimore GM Eric DeCosta compared losing Linderbaum to getting outbid for a house when he was a scout early in his career.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI was never going to get that house because the other people had more money to spend,\u201d DeCosta said, via Justin Robertson of the team\u2019s site.<\/a> \u201cThat\u2019s kind of how I felt.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding how the Maxx Crosby<\/a> trade factored into negotiations with Linderbaum, DeCosta doesn\u2019t think the trade being called off before Tuesday\u2019s tampering period would\u2019ve played a big role in possibly retaining him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s just that you spend a lot of time saying, \u2018This is what this player is. This is who he is. This is how he plays. This is what he\u2019s worth.\u2019 And we try not to deviate from that,\u201d DeCosta said. \u201cWould it have allowed us to spend more money on players? Maybe, but would we have done it? Probably not.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeCosta expressed faith in OL coach Dwayne Ledford\u2018s ability to develop players.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a lot of confidence in Coach Ledford and our offensive staff to develop guys,\u201d DeCosta said. \u201cWe\u2019ve done it before. We have a pretty good history of drafting centers.\u201d<\/p>\n
