ORANGE PARK, Fla. \u2014 As Spring Break kicks off in Clay County, local law enforcement and business owners are on high alert following social media rumors of a coordinated \u201cteen takeover.\u201d <\/p>\n
The Orange Park Police Department will increase its presence at Park Central Plaza after online posts identified Get Air Trampoline Park as the gathering point for the potential disruption. <\/p>\n

Foote, who brought her two nephews to the park today, decided to wrap up their session well before the evening hours. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really glad we\u2019re here early,\u201d Foote said. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is normally a family atmosphere. We\u2019ve never had issues like this before, but we want to be proactive rather than reactive,\u201d Leo Davis, manager at Get Air, said. <\/p>\n Get Air trampoline park manager Leo Davis confirmed that the facility is implementing strict security measures in response to the threats. Staff will be screening guests at the entrance, and large groups of unsupervised minors will be turned away. <\/p>\n \u201cIf there are too many kids here, we\u2019ll have to close the park down,\u201d Davis warned. \u201cThe safety of my employees is the thing I worry about most.\u201d <\/p>\n [DOWNLOAD: Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks<\/a>]<\/p>\n The heightened security follows a string of previous \u201ctakeovers\u201d in the area that have escalated into violence, including a notable incident at the Orange Park Mall. Police officials are urging parents to be diligent about their children\u2019s whereabouts and to monitor their weekend plans closely. <\/p>\n \u201cDo you know where your kids are or what they\u2019re doing?\u201d Foote asked, echoing the police department\u2019s concerns. \u201cTake them home if they\u2019re going to be up to no good.\u201d <\/p>\n Authorities expect the increased police presence at the plaza to begin around 6:00 PM.
