(WCTV) &#8211; City of Tallahassee lineworkers took home top honors after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/03\/14\/like-brotherhood-hundreds-compete-annual-florida-lineman-competition\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wctv.tv\/2026\/03\/14\/like-brotherhood-hundreds-compete-annual-florida-lineman-competition\/\">hundreds of linemen across Florida competed in the annual Florida Lineman Competition on Saturday<\/a>, according to a Florida Municipal Electric Association (FMEA) press release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Participants were grouped into two divisions: apprentices or trainees competing individually and three-person journeyman teams that included one veteran lineworker, per FMEA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lance Rivenbark, Jordan Reddick and Jason Smith of the City of Tallahassee won the 2026 Overall Journeyman Team award. Dalton Gowdy from the City of Tallahassee won the 2026 Overall Apprentice Award.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More Tallahassee news:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">FMEA Executive Director Amy Zubaly congratulated the winners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThis year marked the 25th anniversary of the Florida Lineman Competition and we were thrilled to bring together so many representatives from our public power communities to take part in this milestone event.
