FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – St. Patrick\u2019s Day celebrations took place across South Florida, bringing festivities and fun to attendees through parades in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Gables.<\/p>\n
The parade in Fort Lauderdale brought bagpipers, marching bands and floats.<\/p>\n
People from across the country attended the parade.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re from Ohio, we came all the way from Ohio for this amazing parade,\u201d said an attendee.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a great day to feel lucky, it\u2019s a great way to be happy, blue skies, great way to celebrate community, what could be better than that?\u201d said another attendee.<\/p>\n
Crowds packed the streets of Coral Gables for the annual John Martin\u2019s St. Patrick\u2019s Street Festival along Miracle Mile<\/p>\n
Eventgoers celebrated with food, drinks, and live music<\/p>\n
\u201cDefinitely the music and the food, I\u2019m very excited for, and the drinks,\u201d said an eventgoer.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s just the support, seeing that somewhere like Miami has an Irish festival, I think it\u2019s very cool,\u201d said another eventgoer.<\/p>\n
The celebrations will continue across South Florida, with the official holiday on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
