GAINESVILLE, FL (USC SID) \u2013 The University of South Carolina baseball team dropped its Sunday (March 15) contest to No. 23 Florida, 13-3, in seven innings at Condron Family Ballpark.<\/p>\n
Florida went up 3-0 in the first inning on a sacrifice fly and two-run double from Colton Schwartz. The Gamecocks tied the game in the top of the second on Luke Yuhasz\u2019s three-run home run, his first as a Gamecock. Brendan Lawson\u2019s three-run home run in the bottom of the second gave the Gators back their three-run advantage.<\/p>\n

The Gators scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, capped by a grand slam from Cash Strayer. Florida added a pair in the fifth on a two-run double.<\/p>\n
At the plate, Will Craddock was 2-for-4 while Yuhasz drove in three. The loss went to Alex Valentin, who allowed six runs in 2.2 innings of relief.<\/p>\n

Yuhasz now has 15 career home runs between Louisiana-Lafayette and Carolina.<\/p>\n
Craddock now has eight multi-hit games.<\/p>\n
