Rueben Bain, at 6’2″, 263 pounds, is considered to have maybe the ideal build for the Lions, who prefer large EDGE defenders. His physical dominance and young age make him a premier prospect. If he is available at the #17 pick, he could be the perfect pick to complement Aidan Hutchinson.

Here is the excerpt of my medical report on Bain.

(Ages in parentheses are at start of 2026 season and are factored into the concern level. Injury info and ages based on available public information are unverified and subject to update. The Achilles will certainly get vetted at the combine. His young age and low mileage are a big plus.

His career stats include 33.5 TFL and 20.5 sacks in 3 seasons. At 6’3″, 275 pounds, Bain might have the ideal build for the Lions who like their EDGE’s big. In college, he often looked like a man amongst boys.

For more Lions coverage, follow us on X, @TheLionsWire, and give our Facebook page a like. Follow Jimmy on X, @JimmyLiaoMD

[9
31,47,123,125,124,2181,2182,10942,298,2053,43,76,342,332,96,9811,300,34
post-193356","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-miami","tag-accessfree","tag-fl","tag-miami","tag-miami-headlines","tag-miami-news","tag-sstssportsnfllions","tag-sstsnlions","tag-tagaidan-hutchinson","tag-tagamerican-football","tag-tagdetroit-lions","tag-tagfacebook","tag-tagmiami","tag-tagnational-sports","tag-tagnfl","tag-tagoverall-positive","tag-tagsmg-timely","tag-tagsports-news","tag-typestory
["GET
