LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/topic\/St.%20Lucie%20County%20Sheriff%E2%80%99s%20Office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">St. Lucie County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a> is mourning the death of Deputy Naomi Dubreus, who passed away peacefully on March 14, surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheriff&#8217;s Office said Dubreus is remembered as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, as well as a dependable and caring presence within the agency. Coworkers said she approached every day with professionalism and compassion \u2014 qualities that made her widely respected across the department.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the Sheriff\u2019s Office asked the community to keep Dubreus\u2019 family in their thoughts and prayers, including her husband and young daughter.
