The Wall Street Journal reports<\/a> the \u201cLord of the Rings\u201d star wants to sell the property because he hasn\u2019t lived there for several years. What\u2019s more, Bloom has moved farther north in California, though it isn\u2019t clear where.<\/p>\nThis four-bedroom Malibu perch served as his primary home for more than a decade. He purchased it with his then-wife Miranda Kerr for some $2.5 million in 2011. The couple split in 2013. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like it might be the right time to let it go,\u201d Bloom told the Journal, which added he rented it out last year and realized he would likely never return. However, he said he\u2019s reluctant to sell it.<\/p>\n
Bloom was initially drawn to the home\u2019s seclusion and access to El Matador State Beach, which is just steps away. The property stands on less than a half acre. <\/p>\n
The residence was built around the 1970s. During Bloom\u2019s ownership, a renovation ensued, with work including the creation of a more open plan living and kitchen area \u2014 and the addition of a pool outside overlooking the Pacific. The renovation also added custom finishes in addition to furniture, which can be included in the sale.<\/p>\n
