TAMPA \u2014 A woman was fatally injured in a wrong-way accident on U.S. 301, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The two-vehicle crash occurred 11:42 a.m. Oct. 20 near an intersection with Harney Baptist Church Road.<\/p>\n
The Florida Highway Patrol said a Nissan Altima driven by a 67-year-old Riverview was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of U.S. 301 due to a \u201cmedical emergency.\u201d Troopers said the Nissan crashed nearly head-on with a Toyota Corolla driven by a 74-year-old Valrico woman traveling southbound.<\/p>\n
A passenger in the Toyota, an 80-year-old Valrico woman, was transported to a hospital, where she died from her injuries<\/p>\n
