LUCIE \u2014 Dante Bichette played 14 seasons as a major league outfielder, but he wasn\u2019t about to push baseball on his youngest son.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The initial plan was for Bo Bichette to pursue tennis.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou write your own lineup card in tennis,\u201d Dante Bichette said in a phone conversation this week. \u201cIt\u2019s like you kind of control the whole thing, and he was really good at it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the very least, tennis could serve as excellent cross-training for Bo Bichette if he decided to pursue baseball. Fielding a ground ball requires finding a good hop, as does hitting a tennis ball. The serve is analogous to throwing.
