ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 Court records obtained by News 6 revealed disturbing details about a shooting that broke out near a Walmart in Orlando on Thursday night.<\/p>\n
In an arrest affidavit, Orange County deputies said they were called to the woods west of the Walmart, located at 3101 W. Princeton Street, around 11:43 p.m.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, they were flagged down by a man who was seen bleeding from his hand, who explained that the gunman was still in the woods near his tents, the affidavit says.<\/p>\n
Deputies said they then went toward the wood line, finding the suspect \u2014 identified as 63-year-old Joseph Fenwick \u2014 who surrendered to law enforcement.<\/p>\n
Once brought into custody, Fenwick told deputies that he\u2019d driven to the campsite in the woods with a shotgun, looking for a woman whom he wanted to handcuff and \u201cdegrade,\u201d detectives reported.<\/p>\n
Elaborating further, detectives said they learned from Fenwick that he\u2019d been with the woman for over 10 years, but starting a few weeks before the incident, she and the other man had been visiting at the campsite.<\/p>\n
According to the affidavit, Fenwick\u2019s statement was as follows:<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s stole $5,378 from me. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here, and I wasn\u2019t going to kill him. I was just going to (expletive) scare them into putting these handcuffs on. Then, I was going to torture him a little bit. I mean, as far as make degrade her, I might have made her suck my (expletive) or something like that. But that\u2019s it. Then, I was going to have him call the law, and I would be here anyway. So I don\u2019t want to murder anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

But during the confrontation, the other man had confronted Fenwick with a chair, which is when the gun went off, according to detectives.<\/p>\n
Deputies said they later learned that the other man had managed to fend off Fenwick, suffering a cut from Fenwick\u2019s machete in the process.<\/p>\n
Investigating Fenwick, detectives said they found a fanny pack around his waist with shotgun shells and silicone handcuffs.<\/p>\n
However, they also discovered what appeared to be ball gags on his ankles, deputies noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was going to ball gag them… I came prepared,\u201d Fenwick reportedly told investigators.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, detectives said they interviewed the woman over the phone, and she said she had noticed a \u201cgradual obsession\u201d from Fenwick beginning to grow recently.<\/p>\n
\u201cFenwick assisted (her) while she was out of work by allowing her to sleep in her car in his driveway…\u201d the affidavit continues. \u201c(She) began to see photos of herself on Fenwick\u2019s TV that she did not recall taking. (She) also advised Fenwick would journal about her regularly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Due to this growing obsession, she reportedly moved out of the driveway into the wooden campsite with the other man, though she\u2019d been speaking over the phone with him when Fenwick arrived that night.<\/p>\n
Fenwick now faces two charges of attempted first-degree murder \u2014 one with a firearm, and the other with a \u201cweapon.\u201d He is held without bond.<\/p>\n
