South Florida travelers looking to experience the end of spring in the nation\u2019s capital will soon have another nonstop option out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.<\/p>\n
Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday, March 17, that it will offer four new routes across the U.S., including a new daily service from FLL to Washington Dulles International Airport<\/a> beginning May 21.<\/p>\n Introductory one-way fares are set to start at $49. The promotional price must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on March 23 and is valid for nonstop travel on select days through Aug. 26, according to the airline.<\/p>\n The new Washington route marks Frontier\u2019s latest addition to FLL, bringing its total of nonstop flights from the airport to 17.<\/p>\n The Denver-based carrier ranks ninth<\/a> among airlines serving FLL with a 2.8% market share, according to the Sun Sentinel. Frontier more than doubled its passenger traffic year-over-year in January at FLL, from 43,273 in 2025 to 86,603 this year.<\/p>\n This comes after the airline expanded its routes<\/a> in December 2025, as Frontier announced plans to launch 23 new routes in 2026, including four from FLL.<\/p>\n One of those routes, with service to Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, is scheduled to begin April 2.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are very pleased to announce these new routes,\u201d Josh Flyr, vice president of the airline\u2019s network and operations design, said in a news release. \u201cWith this new service, consumers will enjoy Frontier\u2019s signature convenience and affordability as they travel.\u201d<\/p>\n
