FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. \u2014 A 31-year-old woman was at the North Broward Bureau detention center in Pompano Beach on Wednesday evening, facing charges for a crime spree caught on videos, according to inmate and court records. <\/p>\n

At about 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, Julie Lafleur damaged 10 parked cars, and she stole a woman\u2019s handbag in the area of North Federal Highway and Northeast Third Street in downtown Fort Lauderdale, according to a police officer\u2019s report<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have worked downtown for 10 years, and you are going to see some crazy stuff going down,\u201d Kat Leitner said. \u201cBut, that is probably one of the more brazen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leitner, a witness, recorded a video that shows the vandal throwing a rock and a brick. Video also showed her aiming at the parked cars\u2019 windows and then rummaging through the cars. <\/p>\n

\u201cFirst, I noticed the first car with the broken glass, and I was like, \u2018Oh, wow! What is that?\u2019 There was stuff all over the ground … On one of the cars, there was like a high heel on top,\u201d Leitner said. \u201cIt was just crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lafleur, a felon with two convictions in Broward County, is also known as Betty Johnson and Juju Bean, according to her Florida Department of Corrections profile<\/a>. Her prison release was Feb. 25, 2025. <\/p>\n

On Sunday, Fort Lauderdale police officers arrested Lefleur. She faced three new felonies and one misdemeanor: Second-degree robbery, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary, and resisting arrest, a first-degree misdemeanor. <\/p>\n

A judge set her bond at $9,000. Broward County Circuit Judge Francis I. Viamontes was set to preside over the case, according to court records. <\/p>\n
