As major U.S. airports seek donations of food and household essentials for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers missing paychecks during the partial government shutdown, PETA supporters will deliver suitcases packed with nutritious and delicious vegan food and other supplies to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Friday for local TSA agents, and have also sent agents a\u00a0letter<\/a>\u00a0of support.<\/p>\n The suitcases\u2014bearing signs reading, \u201cKindness Cleared for Takeoff. Vegans save money at the grocery store, too, as many vegan foods\u2014including pasta, rice, tofu, and beans\u2014cost significantly less than meat made from animals.
