The Florida death row killer executed Tuesday night<\/a> for the grisly rape and murder of a married mom reportedly devoured a modest spread of sweet and savory comfort foods for his final meal.<\/p>\n

Michael Lee King, 54, received a lethal injection at Florida State Prison and was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m. after being sentenced to death for kidnapping, raping, and fatally shooting 21-year-old Denise Amber Lee in the face as her desperate 911 calls went unanswered in 2008.<\/p>\n

Before being hauled to the death chamber, King woke up calm, met with a visitor and his spiritual advisor, then wolfed down pizza, tater tots, ice cream, and soda as his last meal, WLFA reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

King abducted Lee from her North Port house on Jan. 17, 2008, while her two young sons \u2014 a toddler and an infant \u2014 were inside, then took her to his home, where he bound and raped her, prosecutors revealed during his speedy trial.<\/p>\n

Later that day, King drove to his cousin\u2019s house, and while Lee remained bound in his car, she managed to grab his cellphone and call 911, prosecutors said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her call \u2013 along with similar ones made by her husband and witnesses to her kidnapping \u2013 went unanswered. In the chilling voice message, Lee could be heard begging for her life so that she could see her family again.<\/p>\n

King, 54, was executed for raping, and fatally shooting 21-year-old Denise Amber Lee after her desperate 911 calls went unanswered in 2008. Denise Amber Lee Foundation<\/p>\n

Not long after, Lee was shot directly in the face and buried in a remote part of North Port.<\/p>\n

King was arrested the same day.<\/p>\n

King neither apologized nor asked for forgiveness before receiving the lethal dose. AP<\/p>\n

The horrifying incident resulted in the Florida Legislature later passing the Denise Amber Lee Act, a measure that provides amplified training of 911 operations. Lee\u2019s husband, Nathan, also established a foundation in her name that promotes operator training and public awareness.<\/p>\n

King is the fourth person to be executed in Florida this year, with two more slated for the coming weeks AP<\/p>\n
